Thanks to the members who informed me of the new patch. I have updated the downloads page. Please do not use the auto-updater utility, as it probably will not work. It looks as if ASR has abandoned the auto-updater utility (yes!!). We will get together soon and ponder what our schedule will be like for the next season and when it will get under way. I understand the RIT server hasbeen updated to patch "G". Members who haven't updated since the end of the season will need to download and install "update 3" .
Jason Crouse Ends Season With 2 Victories! Kevin Buchanan Wins Both RIT Championship and Rookie of Year Honors!
The longest race of the season, and also the grand finale of the season ended with Jason Crouse as the winner for a 2nd straight week, and officially sealed Kevin Buchanan's Championship and Rookie of the Year status. It was amazing to watch someone who had never raced a simulator before be introduced to the league and take a hold of it with great dedication and practice, as Kevin did. It also shows what happens when veteran league members take the time to bring new members up to speed, and it also proves that there are still other great drivers out there we need to be on the look out for to add to the league next season.
Jason Crouse led what seemed to be the 24 hours of Lemans. Although there were very few cautions, the race was an endurance race, and a couple of drivers just couldn't make it to the end due to fatigue. Those that stayed witnessed very long green flag runs in the 2nd half of the race, along with several green flag pitstops. Jason Crouse's closest competition was Offy, who seemed to have an equally matched car to Jason's, but in the end, his tires were just too worn out to catch the leader. Jason would finish the race leading 215 laps, more than 2/3 of the race compared to Offy's 57 laps. Even the old former front-runner Bigfootbuilt scored 12 laps in the lead, but finished 3rd. Defile and Kevin Buckingham would round out the top 5. There were 30 lead changes among 10 drivers. The high number of lead changes were the result of several green-flag pitstops during the second half of the race. Congrats again to Jason Crouse! And we at RIT thank him for his hard work in contributing the video multimedia you have seen on this site and on YouTube. It takes alot of patience and work to create these videos, and we appreciate it very much.
We at RIT will take a break from points racing, probably until after the holidays, but we will still run some non-points events during that time. No official start of the next season is announced yet, since we need to await more updates to Arca Sim Racing. Keep checking back here and in the forums for the latest! Thanks to all who joined and raced with us this season!
